Luis F. Restrepo


Mr. Restrepo has 22 years of experience as a broker-dealer with unique expertise in setting up and running all aspects of a broker-dealer. In 2010 he set up the U.S. broker-dealer of a major financial group in India. In 1999, he founded MultiTrade Securities through a strategic alliance with Bloomberg and ran it until 2010, firmly establishing it as a minority owned broker. Previously, he spent ten years at Instinet where he created and managed the Latin America Equities desk. Outside the industry, his experience includes six years with Procter & Gamble managing brands such as Pampers and Tide, focusing on entering new markets in Latin America, the Persian Gulf , Turkey and Italy . Familiar with civil strife, he worked for the Boston Public Schools from 1979-1982 during its turbulent Supreme Court mandated desegregation years. A leader in the Latino community, he served on the Board of the New America Alliance for ten years. He is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School, Harvard College and the Wharton School.
